Tackling the Hungry Time
Because November and December are the beginning of planting season, they tend to mark the end of last year’s food supplies for those who survive by subsistence farming. This is in stark contrast to a time of year that often is celebrated as a season of abundance. We are very thankful for the extra supplies that were purchased earlier this year…38 tons of maize, 5 tons of beans, plus fish, oil, and other critical supplies. What a blessing it is to have what we need to keep the school children and orphans in our programs fed, as well as being able to help people in times of food crisis.
