With grateful hearts we rejoice!

Thank you is all we can say to so many generous churches, individuals and a few organizations! You helped get us to a level of support that gave us the confidence to go ahead with the purchase and import of a new ministry support vehicle to serve our short term visitors and the many ministries being carried out here!

When Lynn and I returned to South Africa at the beginning of September we had raised just over $48,000 for the vehicle and our board agreed that we should go ahead with the purchase since we were in place to organize it and we also had numerous short term visitors arriving in early October! So by God’s grace we were able to source the vehicle and organize for all the export and import and agents to make this happen and then Lynn and I took a long awaited vacation.

We returned to the mission on Thursday this past week having to travel through two military convoys, but our travels were safe and good. And today, if all progresses as planned, the new van will go through the Mozambique border from South Africa to go through it’s import process and registration in Maputo. So Praise the Lord with us and pray for the import process and its safe 2 day travel North to the mission here in central Mozambique.

As you may notice we have had to increase the target goal for fundraising for this vehicle to reflect the final actual cost. Amazingly, in September a generous donor organization sent in a gift that brought us up to just over the $54,000 we had initially targeted. But with exchange rates and import charges that fluctuate, the final cost to us will be $58,845.00.

Once again rejoice with us and thank you for those of you who gave and prayed to help us achieve this project!
