Education begins with a desk

Each year our little school in the bush continues to grow. It started with just a few grades and now it serves about 400 children and covers from kindergarten through grade 7. Each child not only receives a good education, they also receive spiritual and physical nourishment!  They are taught the word of God and given a good, full meal each day they attend school. This nourishment helps them to grow physically, mentally, and spiritually. Because of this, their future has become much brighter and the opportunities more plentiful.

With the increase in the number of students in our school, we face a difficult problem. We don’t have enough DESKS for the coming year! Each desk costs a minimum of 8,500 meticais ($170 CAD). We are currently short 60 DESKS for the new school year which is scheduled to begin in February.
