Vocational Training (Mozambique)

Vocational-Training

Due to the development enabled by 20 years of peace in Mozambique, there is an increasing demand for people with a skill or trade.

Having a trade also enables these young people to be entrepreneurs in case they cannot find employment. SAM Ministries has been assisting young people in Mozambique to receive vocational training at the mission or at other training institutions. The programs that have just recently been launched by the mission include a basic woodworking practicum, as well as a course in automotive maintenance and repair. Mercy Tech Mission, currently in the early stages of registering as a Canadian Charity, has come alongside us to launch the course in automotive training at the basic level. They have also undertaken to promote and help in the construction of a mechanic workshop. Our multi-purpose training facility provides the classrooms where automotive theory is taught.

Giving young people a chance to be trained in the context of a love for God and commitment to His Kingdom is critical for the development of both this country and its Church.
