Vocational Training Brazil

Vocational training at the mission in Brazil includes offering its students courses in information technology (IT), preparatory skills for entering the workforce, and basic skills training in the school’s print shop and community kitchen.
The IT and workforce preparatory skills course helps them to prepare for successful transition from school to either college or a place of employment. Skills taught include computer training, resume writing, finding a job, and knowing how to prepare and present oneself with confidence during an interview. All of these are invaluable skills for young people and provide them with career training in the context of a love for God and commitment to His Kingdom.
Basic skills training offered at the print shop and community kitchen are done in partnership with the government. There may be employment opportunities for some students to remain and serve in these areas once their training is finished.
Continued education for the school’s teaching staff is encouraged and provided for when possible. Teaching staff development, a project, which is promoted annually in order to raise the necessary funds, has been greatly supported by the Jireh Foundation.
