Brazil Health

Serving health needs in remote communities enables a demonstration of God’s love in both word and deed.
The health ministry in Brazil includes both dental care and a mobile unit that provides general health services to those in need.
The dental clinic, which is located on site, provides dental care services at greatly reduced prices for the community of Itaperuçu (the immediate community where the mission is located), and to surrounding communities as well. All of the children registered at Mount Horeb’s school receive a free yearly dental examination and are educated in how to maintain good oral health. Children from needy homes receive fillings free of charge, and toothbrushes are also supplied to all the school children for free.
The mobile health unit makes regular trips to remote and needy communities (a central focus at this time is the community of Caçador), where it offers dental care, basic health screening and treatments, and teaching on preventive health.
